Emma of Embodied Healing is a healing arts practitioner specializing in trauma‑sensitive yoga and restorative modalities. Her work is rooted in the pillars of embodiment and rest—pathways that support nervous system healing and guide you back to your truest Self.

Drawing from restorative and contemplative practices such as Reiki, restorative & yin yoga, yoga nidra (yogic sleep), breathwork, meditation, and somatics, Emma offers a compassionate toolkit designed to reconnect you with your body’s innate wisdom. Her approach nurtures healing across the physical, mental, and energetic layers, creating space for deeper presence, resilience, and inner alignment.

————————————————————————————————————————

Over the last several years, I have gone down the rabbit hole on all things relating to healing, embodiment and spirituality. I have been on a truth seeking journey of self discovery - questioning the nature of my reality, exploring dozens of healing modalities, cultivating a spiritual practice, and most of all, questioning my purpose. I began this journey after graduating college and experiencing a general dissatisfaction with the life path I had created for myself. Going through the motions, living on autopilot, hiding from my shadow and avoiding unprocessed trauma. I felt purposeless, depressed, lost and confused for as long as I can remember.

When I moved to Chicago for a job in finance after college, I suddenly realized my road map was gone. I had gone through the motions of what was expected from me - high school, college, study something practical and get a job. And I truly believed that this path paved with a tempting starting salary and an exciting new city could lead to happiness and fulfillment. In reality I felt more small, lost and desperate to find meaning than ever before. We spend so much of our lives disconnected from ourselves and our intuition, concerned about others’ perceptions of us, trying to live up to standards of success and happiness that we don't identify with. In my experience, there is nothing more exhausting and soul sucking.

I felt a deep knowing that there was something more. My intuition was screaming at me that this wasn’t it, but I didn’t know what I wanted. I didn’t know who I truly was, on a soul level. I didn’t know what my unique gifts were, what I was passionate about, what lit me up and made me feel excited and joyful. I was experiencing my first true 'Dark Night of the Soul'. I felt as though I was meeting my authentic self for the first time. It was a challenging, sobering, and often times lonely process of awakening. This is ultimately what led me to the path of spirit, the path of healing, and the path of remembering my innate wholeness.

Fast forward to present day - I am still in the thick of my healing and embodiment journey, yet I have more clarity and a deeper connection with myself than ever before. I feel as though I am continually shedding old skins that no longer serve me, changing my perspectives and gaining new insights - it feels very raw and often uncomfortable, but it is always worth it. I have been clearing out the false narratives, healing past traumas, deeply feeling all of my feelings and no longer suppressing or denying them.

My healing and self discovery journey has brought me down the rabbit hole on all things relating to healing, embodiment and spirituality. I have explored different healing modalities, lineages and philosophies. I am fascinated by the mind-body connection, energetics, and all things mystical and magical. I have studied and experienced dozens of healing modalities and ways of connecting with higher consciousness, including: energy healing, breathwork, yoga, meditation, nervous system regulation, embodiment and somatic work, sound healing, working with the elements, the list goes on. I have been guided to complete various programs and trainings over the last several years with some incredible teachers:

For me, combining these modalities and practices has been the most transformational and illuminating process, and has brought me face to face with many of those repressed feelings, memories and traumas. Breath, movement and sound lie at the foundation of everything I do.

True healing takes courage and an unwavering commitment to your growth, yet feeling at home in your body and reconnecting with your true essence is the greatest gift you can give to yourself.

I know the profound impact these practices and modalities have had on me, and it is part of my mission to share these with the collective. After spending years gathering insights and awareness around this work, I want everyone to be able to experience that self healing is not only possible, but that it can set you free. I would be honored to work with you in a one on one capacity by facilitating energy healing and/or breathwork experiences, or in an upcoming group setting.
